COME VISIT US Superior is located on the beautiful but many times unprediciable Lake Superior as many a sailor can attest to. We are located across the bridge from Duluth Minnesota. Since we are so close many people consider us one city and we share many resources.
OTHER THINGS TO DO We are the home of the Bayfront Blues Festival, Circle Superior Ski Classic, Beargrease Dog Sled race, Dragon Boat Races and Grandma's Marathon. During the summer there are numerous concerts held throughout the cities. There are several outdoor concerts by well known artists. Lucious Woods has weekly concerts as well as the Big Top. The DECC hosts top name concerts as well as the Bay Front Park. A Yearly art fair is held as well as several car shows, races, snowmobile races and numerous ethnic events. Both Duluth and Superior have boardwalks along the lake which also have room for bikers and skaters. Duluth has a georgous rose garden which is a must to see. Superior has beautiful Wisconsin Point and Duluth has Park Point if you want a walk on the beach.			ACTIVITES We offer many activities which include fishing, sailing, skiing, golf, rock climbing, and hunting among others. We have four seasons but if not paying attention summer can be missed. It can tend to get cold up here and many times we do get large amounts of snow, but that is just one of the hazards of being a "Northlander". A person has not lived until they have experienced our beautiful fall colors or seeing a ship entering our harbor.
AND STILL MORE... While in the area take in a cruise of the harbor, ride a trolly car, ride a old steam locomotive, take a carriage ride or go charter fishing. There are many movie houses in the area including a Ominex movie house. Not to be forgotten is the Duluth Zoo which is constantly getting better as well as the Duluth Aquarium. SHOPPING If shopping is your bag, not to worry. Between the two cities there are many malls and specialty shops to keep you amused. These have ample parking which is nice. There are many small unique shoppes so just keep looking-you will never know what you will find. Duluth and Superior each harbor a antique mall besides many smaller antique shops and craft shops to explore.			MUSEUMS If museums are to your liking there are many. There is a large maritime museum located in Canal Park. It has free admission and is very informative. The Irvin, is a former ore carrier open for tours. Superior has the whaleback museum for you to explore. The Duluth Depot is very interesting with it's vast array of displays. Downstairs from there is the train museum where you can visit days gone by. There are two main mansions. There is not much better then the Congon mansion. This is especially beautiful in the summer when the gardens are in bloom or in the winter when it is decked out for christmas. The Fairlawn museum is another beautiful mansion not to miss. There are others including police and fire museum, art museums, lighthouses to explore and don't forget Toms Logging Camp.
			JUNKERS ONLY Like junking??????? There are a number of second hand stores in the area to dig in. Once a year there is a 5 mile long rummage sale which is getting popular. Any given weekend during the summer it is impossible to hit all the rummage sales listed. If you get up here and the weather is bad, do what you planning to do anyway, it never stops us.
